Introduction of Cross-functional

In the recent years, the participation in cross-functional teams has come


under strong examination regarding its effectiveness in the business
environment .For many years, the cross-functional team has been
considered the key differentiator of business, giving business the
advantages to compete; however, its value-add in current years has been
questioned. This research seeks to comprehend behaviors in which leaders
and subordinates can collaborate in ensuring that all stakeholders extract
maximum reward from the leader behaviors impacting on collaboration
within cross-functional teams. The studies have focused on collaboration in
cross-functional teams with regard only to new product development. This
study will examine the perspective of leaders and subordinates on the
outcomes of collaboration in cross-functional teams, as well as the leader
behaviors impacting collaboration in cross-functional teams. Cross-
functional research is on the workgroup made up of employees from different
functional areas within an organization who collaborate to reach a stated
objective. Companies use cross-functional teams to help them produce
better results more quickly. As such, companies expect these work teams to
be high-performance teams.

Objective of the Study.

 The main objective of the study is know how different team come together to achieve
common goal of the organization.

 To identify the opportunities and limitations of different functions of BIG.

 To identify how different functions in an organization work and what are the
opportunities and the threat in the functions.

 To understand the day to day activities of the department and how they are
interrelated
 To study about the various services rendered by the organization.
 To know how the theory learned are practically applied in an organization

An organization has many different functions, each of these functions exists to serve the
customer - so they have to work together to provide a comprehensive, positive customer
experience.

Functions and department.

Finance Department: Performs all works related to budget and ideal use of the items of such
budget. Also, it prepares payrolls and monthly wages, and concludes contracts of operation
and maintenance and purchases. In addition, it makes available all amounts of money
required for procurement of all materials and equipment.

Human Resources: Role is to provide a professional, efficient and customer focused service
to managers and staff and in turn facilitate the delivery of a professional, efficient and
customer focused service to patients.

Information Management: Meaningful information can be used in quality management,


continuous quality improvement and peer review. By improving the quality of information,
core data can be provided for randomized clinical trials, outcomes research and many
studies.

Purchasing & Supplies: Purchasing & Supplies Department is responsible for the
procurement function of the hospital.

Patient Accounts: The Patient Accounts Department answers all billing questions and
concerns, requests for itemized bills, and account balance inquiries. The patient accounts
department also assists patients in their insurance benefits for services rendered.
