Movie Review
By Isabella Robles
This will definitely involve you trying to jam your typewriter
in so be prepared to experience drama, mystery and a
series of conflict while watching this movie.
This film is intriguing to many viewers as watching two
advanced journalists trying to solve the mystery of the
Watergate scandal. In 1972 the political conflict became an
issue for the presidential elections causing a break-in into
the Democratic Party headquarters at the Watergate
apartment-office complex in Washington D.C. And after
congressional hearings, in the resignation of President
Nixon in 1974 this became a major issue for the people.
“All the President's men”
Is a perfect movie to watch for those interested in mysteries
or detective thinking. It definitely gets your brain going and
makes the viewers interested in the solution to the
Watergate scandal. The main actors do a great job of
portraying the emotion needed to make the story come to
life. The human values that were included in the movie were
moving and expressive towards the topic. The ratings
about this film are underrated. There was some blurry
moments due to the camera work and the ending of the
movie wasn’t a full recap or a solution . The final ending
didn’t satisfy the questions a person might have, the
presidential elections along with the the burglar arrest
remained unanswered. Five men were arrested and found
with burglary tools, cameras, film and three-pen sized tear
gas guns, but no actual ending to the journalist part of the
movie was reasoned or reached. Luckily no one in the film
or the actual historical event were hurt but some votes may
have been tampered with. It was even more shocking to find
out that one of the five men was James W. McCord, a
security coordinator for the Republican National
Committee and the Committee for the Re-election of the
next United States President.
Overall this film was a great two hours of my time but I
would of liked a real ending. I would most recommend this
to people who like to solve problems, my thoughts on this
particular movie are a success and a great piece of
cinematography.
