 CONTENT : Two extracts of films (The Help and Hidden figures) representation of racism in films

 COMMUNICATION : discussion about how the films treat racism towards black women

 COGNITION : Compare, analyze, outline, discuss, contrast the two scenes

 CULTURE : segregated America, evolving cultures, discrimination , black women

 COMPETENCES: listening, speaking and oral interaction, grammar: simple past tense

TIME: Two hours

MATERIALS (in attachment): videos on youtube (hidden figures) and extract from the movie the Help

Procedure

Posters of the two movies and the students will have to imagine what the
movies are about
