Mindfulness implies that an individual is living in a state of conscious awareness of self, others,
and the environment; getting to know the unknown through other people's experience, thinking,
and ideas. Being mindful enables a leader to make choices concerning how to respond to others
and situations while remaining consistent in the decisions that are being made ( McKee et al.,
2006). Mindfulness allows a leader to take a step back, remove oneself from an anxietyladen
