CHARCTER OF POZZO

Pozzo is the character from Samuel Beckett’s drama waiting for godot. His Italian name is for well(as
in oil well). Pozzo is a very arrogant and self centered person. He appears on stage after the
appearance of Lucky. They are tied together by a long rope, thus their destinies are fixed together in
the same way that pozzo might be a mother figure, with the rope being tied like an umbilical cord.
