AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13 OF ORDINANCE NO.

23I, SERIES ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE
OF 2015
ESTABLISHING THE VALENZUETA CITY PEOPLE'S PARK
PRESCRIBING FEES, CREATING ITS MANAGEMENT OFFICE,
DEFINING ITS ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES, DUTIES AND
FUNCTIONS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR."

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 231, Series of 2015 entitled "An Ordinance

Establishing the Valenzuela City People's Park, Prescribing Fees, Creating Its
Management Office, Defining Its Organizational Structures, Duties and
s
Functions and Appropriating Funds Therefor" was enacted on 10 August
2015, included therein is Section 13 which provides for the Rental Rate for
People's Park Amphitheater;

WHEREAS, in its effort to make the said City Government facility more
affordable for the constituents who wishes to use them, the City Government
ofValenzuela deemed it best to decrease the said rental rate;

WHEREAS, the proposed rates will sufficiently cove r the cost of

electricity and maintenance of the said City Government facility.

NOW THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED, as it hereby ORDAINED by the

City Council of Valenzuela in session duly assembled that:

SECTION 1. Section 13 of Ordinance No. 231, Series of 2015 is hereby

amended to read as follow:

"section 13. RENTAL RATE FOR PEOPLE'S PARK

AMPIIITHEATER. There is hereby imposed a ren I fee for

c Php 5,000.00 forthe first3 hours

. Php 1,000.00 for evety succeeding hours

after the first 3 hours
. Free use ofbasic sound system set-up
. Php 3,000.00 Fee for option to use Aduance
Sound System set up
. An additional amount of Php 2,000.00 shall
be charged for daytime events that goes
beyond 6pm
Il. NIGHT TIME RATE (starts at 6 pm):

. Php 2000.00 for the first 3 hours

. Php 1,000.00 for every succeeding hour after
the first 3 hours
. Free use ofbasic sound system set-up
. Php 3,000.00 fee for option to use Advance
Sound System set-up
. Php 2,000.00 fee for use of in-house
Accessory Lightings.

A cash bond of Two Thousand Pesos (Php2,000.00) shall

also be required. For purposes ofthis Ordinance, cash bond shall
refer to the amount of money to secure the fulfillment of an
obligation.

In case where the applicant fails to comply with the

obligation, the money is forfeited in favor of the City Government
ofValenzuela. Furthen the cash bond is refitndable ifno damage
to government propefi is appraised.

The aforementioned rate shall be subiect to the following

discount:

a Free use for DepEd official events

a Free use for LGU Official events
a 5 0 % disco u n t fo r A ccredited events
a 50% discount for Private Sch events
a 50% discount for Religio vents

Any official event of the Department of Education and City

Government ofValenzuela shall be free ofcharge."

SECTION 2. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If any part, section or provision of

this ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid, the part, section or
provision hereof which are not affected shall continue to be in full force and
effect.

SECTION 3. REPEALING CLAUSE. -

All existing ordinances, executive
orders and administrative regulations or part or parts thereof which are
inconsistent with any of the piovision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed
or modified accordinglY'
