SCRIPTURES ON PRAYING FOR MERCY

1. DIVINE PROTECTION

Gen 19:15 – And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened
Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here;
lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. 16) And while he
lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his
wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; THE LORD BEING
MERCIFUL unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without
the city.

Confession
I declare into my life and that of every member of my family by the
Mercy of God which I have obtained, angels are released to hold on to
our hands and they bring us out of every situation and place before any
form of destruction occurs.
The angels have suffered us not to dash our foot against any obstacle
and so it is only with our eyes we see and our ears we hear of
destruction, it doesn’t come near us. A thousand might fall on your left
and 10,000 on your right but no evil touches us in Jesus name – Psalm
91:10-12. 10) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague
come nigh thy dwelling. 11) For he shall give his angels charge over
thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12) They shall bear thee up in their
hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

2. DIVINE FAVOUR WITH THOSE IN AUTHORITY

Gen 39:21 – But the Lord was with Joseph, and SHEWED HIM
MERCY, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
22) And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the
prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was
the doer of it.

Ezra 9:9 – For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in
our bondage, but hath EXTENDED MERCY UNTO US in the sight of
the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our
God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in
 Judah and in Jerusalem. 10) And now, O our God, what shall we say
after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,

Neh 1:11 – O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to
the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire
to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and
GRANT HIM MERCY in the sight of this man. For I was the king's
cupbearer.

Confession
I declare that by the Mercy of God upon my life, I am the favoured one
in the sight of authority figures in this land. Those in authority grant me
the opportunity with open doors to exercise my gifts and talents, and so
I am made visible and promoted. My work is always supported by those
in authority with the resources I need to perform excellently.

3. DIVINE GUIDANCE

Gen 24:27 – And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master

Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of HIS MERCY and his
truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's
brethren.

Neh 9:19 – Yet thou in THY MANIFOLD MERCIES forsookest them not
in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day,
to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them
light, and the way wherein they should go. 20) Thou gavest also thy
good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their
mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.

Psa 16:6 – The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have
a goodly heritage. 7) I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel:
my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

Confession
By the mercy of God that I have obtained, I declare I am being in the
way of the pursuit of my objectives, God leads me to the doorstep of
every blessing. The Spirit of God is ever present to instruct and lead me
in His way in times of blessings, such that I make wise investments for
 the future. In times of seeming darkness, He illuminates my mind and
my reins instruct me, my lines fall into pleasant places and I always
come out with great substance.

4. DELIVERANCE FROM THE HANDS OF EVIL MEN THAT OPPOSE

YOU

Psa 31:7 – I will be glad and rejoice IN THY MERCY: for thou hast
considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; 8) And
hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in
a large room.

Neh 9:27 – Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their
enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they
cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to THY
MANIFOLD MERCIES thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out
of the hand of their enemies.

Confession
By the mercy of God that I have obtained, I declare that I always
experience deliverance when evil men oppose me. These two things
always happen; God raises up saviours on my behalf who speak for me.
By the opposition, He brings me into a large place in life and honors His
mercy on me with promotion.

5. RECOVERY FROM PERSONAL MISTAKES

Psa 94:17 – Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost
dwelt in silence. 18) When I said, My foot slippeth; THY MERCY, O
Lord, held me up.

2 Sam 24:14 – And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall
now into the hand of the Lord; FOR HIS MERCIES ARE GREAT: and
let me not fall into the hand of man.

Confession
I declare that I am covered by God’s mercy in any human error or
mistake. God is the insurance cover over my life, His mercy holds me
 up when my foot slips and I never fall into the hands of men but always
upon His goodness and mercy.

6. MULTIPLICATION, INCREASE AND EXPANSION

Gen 32:10 – I am not worthy of the least of ALL THE MERCIES, and of
all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I
passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.

Isa 54:7 – For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with GREAT
MERCIES will I gather thee.

Confession
By the mercy of God I have obtained, I have broken forth… (insert
specifics) and increased according to the measure I have believed. I
have expanded to the degree that my heart has imagined. My seeds
have caused me to inherit the wealth of the earth.
As Jacob through innovation and industry gathered much, so have I
increased daily by the mercy of God that rests upon my soul. Through
my life, by reason of the increase made visible, it is clear that in my life
it is not of him that runneth nor willeth but of God that showeth mercy.

7. HEALING OF PHYSICAL BODY

Mark 10:47 – And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he

began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, HAVE MERCY on
me. 49) And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And
they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he
calleth thee. 51) And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou
that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I
might receive my sight.

Matt 17:15 – LORD, HAVE MERCY on my son: for he is lunatick, and

sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

Phil 2:27 – For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but GOD HAD
MERCY on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have
sorrow upon sorrow.
 Confession
I declare by the mercy of God, I am healed of all forms of sickness and
disease. I experience no sorrow by reason of any discomfort in my body
or that of a loved one. The mercy of God keeps us whole.
(If you have a specific ailment, then declare I am healed of……. by the
mercy of God and I’ve entered into the joy of health.)

8. RECEIVING INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND BREAKING THE HOLD OF

STAGNANCY

Luke 1:72 – To PERFORM THE MERCY PROMISED to our fathers,

and to remember his holy covenant; 78) Through the tender MERCY
OF OUR GOD; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79)
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to
guide our feet into the way of peace.

Dan 2:18 – That they would DESIRE MERCIES OF THE GOD of

heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not
perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

Confession
By the mercy of God, the day spring from on high has visited me. My
mind is flooded with light and innovative thoughts that has broken every
form of stagnancy around me.
The Spirit has revealed the secrets of the earth unto me and by His light
I walk through all forms of darkness around me as though it were non-
existent. I grow with the speed of light.

9. CHILD BEARING

Luke 1:36 – And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived
a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was
called barren. 58) And her neighbours and her cousins heard how THE
LORD HAD SHEWED GREAT MERCY upon her; and they rejoiced
with her.

Confession
 By the mercy of God I declare I am a mother of children. I have
conceived seed under the influence of God’s loving kindness and safely
delivered. The mercy of God has clearly broken the effect of the words
of man and the condition of my body to give me children.

10. TRANSFORMATION OF LIFE AND CHARACTER

2 Cor 3:18 – But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory
of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even
as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Cor 4:1 – Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as WE HAVE
RECEIVED MERCY, we faint not;

Confession
By the mercy of God, my heart has been opened to clearly see the glory
of the Lord through His word. I see the images of my future clearly as
the Spirit shows me things to come. As I sit and behold these images,
my life and character are transformed into the shape of supernatural
events promised in the word – this, by no effect on my part.
Metamorphosis occurs as supernatural abilities hidden in me are
released as I behold His image by His mercy.

11. FUTURE OF MY CHILDREN

1 Kings 3:6 – And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant
David my father GREAT MERCY, according as he walked before thee
in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and
thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a
son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

Dan 4:17 – This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the
demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may
know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to
whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Confession
The future of my children is not established by my will nor by theirs,
neither by how hard we run, but by the Mercy of God. In this mercy, God
 has proven through my children that He reigns in the affairs of men; for
He has given the kingdom of men in their generation into their hands
and they sit upon His mercy as the head.

12. REVIVAL: WALKING IN OBEDIENCE, RESTORATION OF HIS

WORK

Ephesians 2:4 – But God, who is RICH IN MERCY, for his great love
wherewith he loved us, 5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Habakkuk 3:1  –  A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth. 2)

O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy
work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; IN
WRATH REMEMBER MERCY.

Psalm 86:5 – For thou, LORD, art good, and ready to forgive; and
PLENTEOUS IN MERCY unto all them that call upon thee. 6) Wilt thou
not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? 7) SHEW US
THY MERCY, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

Confession
By the mercy of God that influences my soul, the Spirit of God is the one
who is at work in me causing me both to will and to do of God’s good
pleasure. I now do only things well pleasing in God’s sight. The work of
His ministry which He began in me – He has perfected, reviving it and
creating opportunities to serve Him.
