Week Four - Planning

PLANNING

What did you learn from your planning From my planning, I have given myself a much clearer idea of
this week? when and where I am filming. This has allowed me to work out
how I am getting there, what equipment I need to book and
how best I can set up my equipment to film.

What issues did you encounter and I didn’t encounter any issues when planning.
how did you overcome them?

How has your planning My plan has stayed pretty much the same throughout the
developed/changed during the whole process, the only shift in development came, when I
planning stage? started to research the Reading Racers in more detail. I have a
certain degree of personal attachment to the club but I
became really interested in their story. This gave me the idea to
use the story of the Racers to run parallel with the common
idea that speedway is a dying sport. By looking into the past, I
knew that I could discuss how huge the sport used to be, I
could then look at the darker years when Reading struggled so
much that they closed. And now look into the future of what
they are trying to achieve. I feel that this is a story that will
engage and interest all viewers.

How have you ensured your In my script, I have tried to be as articulate and as thorough as
script/shooting script is of a high possible. I have made sure that I am going into as much detail
detailed standard? as possible but still make sure that I am not over-elaborating so
that the viewers with a working knowledge of the sport do not
become bored.

Are you on track for the week? If not, I am on track for all of my work this week
how far behind are you?

What work do you need to complete N/A

outside of lessons to stay on track?
