INTRODUCTION
Managing a successful business project refers to the key to obtain desired
outcomes from the project. Generally, the project consists of a large number of
resources and its failure impact on business functioning. It is a responsibility of the
project manager to conduct the project as well as achieve the desired outcome
(Adam, 2012). This present report is based on the Starbucks company and it was
established in the year 1971. It is a coffee firm and also the largest coffeehouse
chain. This report will analyse the project management plan which includes the
cost, time, risk, communication, quality etc. there will be a discussion about the
small-scale investigation through applying the quantitative and qualitative methods
of research in a better manner.

Background of Project
In this present business environment, mostly business organizations conduct
their business at the international level for increasing their market share and
profitability. Globalization is the contentious procedure and also leads to
interconnection among countries in the various heritage, culture, and caste (Byram
and Parmenter, 2012). The main factors of globalization are an advancement in
ethnology, telecommunication, transportation etc. Starbucks is an American Coffee
firm and it is one of the largest coffee chains. It operates its business on 28,218
locations. This company has globalized for the purpose of acquiring its products in
order to find the new market and develop its better image in the marketplace.
When this company expands its business operations in other countries, the effect of
globalization in management, as well as human resource, is necessary. In addition
to this, the firm will require to recruit, train and also sustain workforce to spread
them in many countries to handle business operations (Coker, 2014).
Aim: An aim of this project is "To determine the influence of globalization and its
impact on Starbucks business in Human resources. " A case study on Starbucks.
Objectives:
To identify the concept of globalization.
To examine the role of globalization on Starbucks business in Human
Resource.
To determine the challenges which Starbucks face due to globalization.

Project Management refers to the practice of planning, organizing,
implementing and closing teamwork to attain particular objectives and meet with
the specific criteria of success at a set period of time. In order to develop an
effective projective management plan, there is a requirement for Starbucks to use
the different aspects which are mention below as above:
Cost- Under this, it is necessary that the company should arrange the proper
funds to complete the project. It consists planning of funds, cost budgeting,
controlling expenses etc.
Scope- Starbucks is a large size company and it conducts its business at the
global level. It operates its business operations in many countries, so the scope of
this project is high (Davidson and et. al., 2012).
Quality- It is the main aspect of the project management plan. Under this,
the company should be assured that all activities of project management are done
in an effective or better manner.
Communication- It is a process of systematic monitoring, executing and
also planning a communication channel. The company needs to adopt the better
channels of communication for an instance: emails for employees so that they can
communicate.
Resources- The main components of resource management are resource
plan, availability of resources, utilization of resources etc. under this, it is
necessary for the firm to utilize the resources in a better manner (Furlong, 2013).
The required resources in the project management plan are manpower, technical,
financial etc.

P3 Work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart to provide time frames and stages
Work breakdown structure- It refers to the deliverable oriented breakdown
of the project in small elements. It is the main project deliverable that helps in
organizing the work of a team in the manageable sections. In context to project
management, it is helpful in dividing the activities into small components so that
staff members cannot face any issue for doing any project. It is an effective method
or way for getting multi-step, as well as a complex project, is done. In addition to
this, the main aim of Work Breakdown Structure is to make big project into the
manageable sections by breaking them in small chunks (Gunn, 2017). It is helpful
in leading to effective productivity along with the project management.
Gantt chart- It is a kind of the graphical illustration of a schedule that is
helpful in the plan, coordinate and also tracks the particular activities in the project.
It is the chart under which the series related to horizontal lines shown the amount
of the completed production or work in a specific period of time in context to
amount that is already planned for those periods. In this, the activities of the
project are divided on the basis of the specific period of time (Hoffmann and
Kumar, 2013). It provides the target to employees so that they can focus on
performing the activities in a fixed time period. It will provide positive outcomes
to the project.

the 30sample size to collect information or data.

Interpretation: There are 8 respondents which said that the main implication that
is based by Starbucks managers from globalization is the mitigation of labor
among the different countries. On the basis of 6 respondents that in international
market competition is high, so Starbucks can face the issue in doing its business at
the global level. As per the opinion of 16 respondents that increase trade in all
overcome is also the main implication which managers mostly face.

Interpretation: When the firm conducts its business at an international level, then
it faces some challenges. As per the opinion of 7 respondents that degradation of an
environment is the main concern for Starbucks. On the other hand, there are 10
respondents which said that from globalization, the employment growth rate is
reduced. As per opinion of 13 respondents, unfair working condition is a main
issue or challenge.

Interpretation: On the basis of the opinion of 15 respondents that technology is
the main issue that impacts on the business activities of Starbucks. On the other
hand, there are 5 respondents which said that culture is a main economic issue
because the culture of every country is different from each other. As per opinion of
10 respondents that politics is a main economic challenge that develops impact on
business activities of Starbucks when it globalized.

CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from the above mention report that managing the proper
project is necessary for getting the positive outcomes. Under this, globalization
impact on the business of Starbucks in the Human resource to expanding business
in other countries. Under this mention report studied about the Gantt chart and
Work Breakdown structure to divide activities so that the company cannot face any
issue in performing the activities of the project. There has been a discussion about
the quantitative and qualitative methodologies of investigation for meeting with the
specific aims and objectives of the project.
