OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:

Carbon nanomaterials, with their unique structure and electronic configuration,

offer exciting properties, making them suitable for applications in electronics,
energy generation and storage, optical devices, sensors, healthcare and
structural components. This has driven enormous research effort in last two
decades in exploring their potential, resulting in many commercially available
products as well. Thus, it is the high time to conduct this QIP course to appraise
AICTE SPONSORED
the Indian research community with the uniqueness of the carbon-based SHORT TERM COURSE
nanomaterials in different applications. The main objective of this course is not
only to enrich the participants’ knowledge base on this advanced field of
research, but is also to attract them to pursue research in this field, hopefully CARBON NANOMATERIALS –
leading to inventions and interesting products. Practical exposures will impart
hands-on experience to make the objectives more fruitful. Finally, and most RECENT ADVANCES AND
importantly, presentation and interaction with a successful start-up company
(Log9 Materials) will boost confidence in participants about actual marketable
FUNCTIONAL APPLICATIONS
products using carbon nanostructures.
