What this role is about
This senior management position is responsible for overseeing the operations of Dougherty Villa and
ensuring the organisation continually provides top quality aged care. The Operations Manager will
lead a team of senior managers and administration staff, by setting ambitious goals and finding a
way to achieve them. Working closely with the CEO, the Operations Manager will develop and
deliver budgets and plans for operating the facility and conducting capital works.
The daily focus of the Operations Manager will be overseeing teams and systems to make sure
they’re working effectively, as well as problem-solving with Dougherty Villa’s experienced team. The
Operations Manager will assist senior staff by helping them overcome barriers and ensure the
organisation achieves its goals. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that
administrative, hotel services and maintenance functions are smoothly and efficiently providing a
safe, clean and homely environment for residents. The Operations Manager is also responsible for
ensuring the organisation meets legislative and prudential standards in all transactions and resident
dealings with staff, residents, families and the public.
