WORKSHOP
Geology Of Mine
➢Name of Seam Being worked with stage of working:
S. No. Seam Thickness Direction/ Depth Of Working Stage of Working
Avg. Dip Max. Min. Development Depillaring
Geological disturbances:
Fault: - One down throw fault on southern boundary to the mine openings.
1. Throw: - 70m(approx.
2. Angle of Hade: - 70⁰(approx.)
Method Of Working
Bord And Pillar With Sand stowing method
➢ Depillaring of Developed Pillar:-” Each pillar so developed is divided in to two equal halves by driving
level split & dip slices towards the goaf, maintaining a rib of coal against adjacent goaf.”
➢ Sand stowing operation:-” The void created as a result of driving slice is completely filled with sand”.
➢ 2nd lift extraction:-” Extraction of 2nd lift is commenced in such manner that original gallery, split gallery &
slice are driven exactly over the 1st lift”’
➢The holes of 32 mm diameter and depth 1.5m are drilled by Portable Drilling Machine.
❑ Quantity of explosive:
➢ 1 hole: 3x185=555gm
➢ 11 holes: 11x555=6105gm/blast
➢ Output per blast: 11tonns
SUPPORTS
It is a safety device use for indication of strata load.It is thin from middle part so when strata load
is high than it breaks from middle of prop.
Ventilation
Air Quantity:
Intake: Return:
DRC No.-03 Incline: 2500m³/min Air Shaft(0L/32D): 3100m³/min\

MINE-MACHINARIES
➢No. of SDL: 08
➢Bucket Capacity: 1.1 m3
➢Electric motor: 65 HP/550 volts
➢Travelling Speed: 3 Km/hr
➢Operating Weight:8900 Kg
HAULAGE
Direct Haulage:
There are four no. of direct haulages in the mine which hauls the coal loaded tubs up to the tippler.
Endless Haulage:
There are two endless haulages working at present which hauls the coal loaded tubs from the working face
and transfer it to direct haulage.
Run off mine coal is transferred to the mechanical tippler with loaded tub through a series of haulages from where
it is again transferred to strata bunker by mechanically operated tippler.
Conveyor Belt
➢ There are two belt conveyors TB1 (Surface) & TB2 (Underground) in the mine.
