Goulbourn Middle School Instrumental Music  
 
Welcome to Music at GMS!   
 
Next year your child will be playing an instrument in Music class, a wonderful opportunity to learn 
something new, think critically and creatively, and discover many ways that brain development is 
enhanced through playing an instrument. 
 
It is at this time of year when we reach out to parents and students through our feeder schools to 
make a decision about the instrument they would like to play next year.  If you already know what 
instrument they would like to play next year, please complete their  Instrumental Music registration 
form online.   We have created a website strictly for this purpose; to be convenient, efficient, and to 
be more environmentally friendly.  
  
Registration will open on Tuesday, May 28th and will close on Friday, June 7th.

If your child is still not sure what they want to play, we would like to invite your child to participate in 
the GMS “Instrument Test Drive” event. This is an opportunity for all new incoming students to GMS 
to “test drive” various instruments in order to make the instrument  selection process easier.  
  
This "Instrument Test Drive" event will take place  
Tuesday, May 28th between 5:30pm and 7:30pm  
at Goulbourn Middle School
