Dear Judges:

Hello, my name is Roberto Moreira and I will be talking about the usage of virtual reality in
education. Technology is always advancing and with it comes new ways to do things, such as
new methods of teaching. Virtual reality offers a way to keep students engaged while learning.

Virtual reality has many applications to medicine, education, and art. It has the potential to
revolutionize how students are taught and how they learn. Despite virtual reality not being a
substitute for actual reality, it can be used for education, entertainment, and gives you the chance
to experience scenarios you would not be able to experience in real life.

I decided to take virtual reality into a classroom setting in order to study how it would improve
student engagement. I wanted to provide students with a new opportunity to learn in a more
interactive way. Students used the virtual reality headset and controller to draw something.

By having students take a survey on their experience with virtual reality I was able to analyze the
impact that it made on them. Students showed better engagement in class and seemed interested
in using virtual reality. Many said that virtual reality would be useful to have in a classroom.

Thank you for being here today. I hope that through my presentation you can learn about virtual
reality and its potential to increase student engagement and improve education.
