Yi Day Master (Yin Wood – Flower Character)

Yi Day Master (Yin Wood)

To understand Yi (Yin Wood) is to understand Flower character. Yi (Yin Wood) are soft wood in
nature. Like a small plant growing softly and gently and emerging as a beautiful and gorgeous
flower, Yi people are mild and expressive. They like to seek improvement and development in
one’s own environment.

As in a small plant or flower, Yi day master reacts and responds sensitively to small changes of
conditions. From here, we can see that Yi people are quick-witted and are able to adapt quickly
to any change in circumstances which is the opposite of Jia day master which is hard wood in
nature.

Like a little flower, they may appear weak but can still grow well in a harsh environment. In a
typhoon, the small plants will sway and move in the direction of the wind. Hence, Yi day master
will not wither easily even though trodden as long as their roots are still intact. As a result, we
can say that Yi people are not only very flexible and adaptable, but they are also very realistic
and will always ‘find’ their way in life, i.e. they are survivalist in nature.

Shortcomings are that they are very dependent on others. They can be fickle, change mind
quickly and do not stick to one course of action. They can be swayed by temptations and may be
deceived or misled by others easily.

As in a small flower, Yi people require Sunlight (Bing-Yang Fire) to bloom, and they also like
Water (Gui-Yin Water), such as dew and rain where water is most gentle. If there is no Sun and
Dew, then they will twirl on Trees (Jia-Yang Wood) to reach out for the Sun so that they can
bloom and earn our attention.
Yin Wood People – The Flowers in the 4 Pillars of Destiny
Flowers and Vines are Yin Wood

In Feng Shui terms, what are Yin Wood people in the 4 Pillars of Destiny?

Yin Wood or Yi, is the image of flowers and grass swaying in rhythm with the breeze. Yi Wood
people are delicate, more flexible and find it easier to adjust to their environment. Their character
is milder, gentler and a great deal more tactful than Yang Wood people because it is yielding and
soft. They can compromise and are more moderate in personality.

Yi Wood will find ways around obstacles, rather than fight directly. They appear to be fragile but,
by flowing with the wind, they are in reality rather hardy. They turn their adaptability into a
strength.

Yi people make good leaders because they can turn and twist. They are adept at politics and can
be fickle. They can mirror grass popping through the cracks of cement. Yi Wood can be the
branches of a tree. So, they are often good with their fingers and at handicrafts.

The entire spirit of Yi is to climb upwards in search of sunlight. Yi will lean and wrap around
anything to reach to the top. Think of a vine winding up a wall, a tree or a fence. In some cases,
vines can can completely cover a tree it grows on and choke or overpower it. Yi people will give
into others to satisfy themselves. They are artful at making use of others

Yi females are usually elegant and graceful. The have the capacity to get the toughest of men to
completely submit. It hard to say no to a beautiful lady!

Examples of Yin wood people are Bill Clinton, Princess Diana, Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman,
John Travolta, Julia Roberts, Madonna and Prince William.

Yin Wood people are quite the opposite of Jia Wood people.

One of their defining characteristics is their flexibility and adaptability. Like twines that
eventually reach the sunlight at the top of the forest canopy, Yi Wood types always find their way
in life. They have a survivalist nature. Yi Wood people are generally not ruthless and their ability
to adapt to changes quickly is always a strong point in their favor. These are people who avoid
trouble by ducking out of the way or slinking away until the trouble dies down. However, Yi
Wood types also tend to be like grass in the wind - they are fickle and rarely commit one way or
another. They change their minds quickly and can be difficult to keep up with because they
refuse to stick to one course of action.
