1) WHAT IS TGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MODE OF OPERATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE OLD
TESTAMENT AND THE NEW TESTAMENT?

The Holy Spirit is a form of expression of the God self. In the old testament, God dealt with man in his
supremacy as God thus he only poured out a part of himself to anyone who was worthy of an
assignment for him. This was because man has not yet been reconciled back to God. That is to say that
the Spirit of God operated in men who were Prophets or Messengers of God, People like Joshua and
David who were anointed to lead etc.

However, in the new testament, there was a reconciliation of man back to God through the death of
Jesus Christ on the cross. So that Jesus Christ breached that gab and now we can have direct access to
God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit as our daily guide.

2) IF YOU MET SOMEONE WHO TOLD YOU THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD'S ACTIVE FORCE AND IS NEITHER A
PERSON NOR GOD BUY AN 'IT', HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THEM
WITH BIBLICAL REFERENCE.

At ascension, Jesus knew that the disciples needed guidance and there was no way he would have left
them high and dry to carry on their discipleship in boldness and authority hence the promise of the Holy
Spirit which was fulfilled on Pentecost day. The Holy Spirit is an expression of the Trinity. So Jesus died
and ascended to Heaven and because he could no longer be with his disciples in human form and also
because he wanted to be ever present and accessible to everyone at all times, he came down in the form
of the Holy Spirit to dwell among men. He is God's way of assuring man of his every lasting presence
with us such that when we seek him, we shall find and manifest the fruits of the Spirit drawing men to
God. Acts 1: 4-5, 7-9. Acts 2:1-13, John 14:16, Romans 8: 1-16. Gal 5:22-23.

3) WHAT IS THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE UNBELIEVER AND BELIEVER?

The Holy Spirit is a moral compass for both the believer and unbeliever made manifest in different forms.
While the Holy Spirit quickens the Spirit of the believer to live within the boundaries of God's plans and
divine purpose doing the will of God, it lives in the unbeliever in form of the conscience.

4) WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who rekindles the fire of man's Spirit to burn for God thereby drawing
men to God. The Holy Spirit is a free gift of God to man designed to empower us live above human
nature within God's will and purpose.
5) IS EVERY BORN AGAIN BELIEVER FILLED WITH SPIRIT OF GOD?

Every born again believer is supposed to wait and pray for the Spirit of God to be poured out on him/her
as this is the evidence we need as childre of God. Also being baptized with the Holy Spirit is not an
assurance that we will not encounter temptations. We are to always abide in the presence of God
earnestly seeking him through the edification of His word, prayer and fellowship with the brethren.

5) WHAT ARE THE GIFTS THAT A BELIEVER IS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT?

Acts 2:4 tells us that speaking in other tongues is one a sign of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Also
Ga 5:22-23 list out all the fruits/benefits of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian. However, I believe
that 'my life' should manifest and show that I am a true believer by my actions and inactions. There
should be a clear difference between the standard of my life as a believer and that of a non believer. We
should be able to be differentiated my our works, life, and the way we communicate with others. That is
not to say a believer should go around in hypocrisy like the Pharisees but the quality of a believers life
should manifest the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
