Our Inspiration

In Thailand, the climate is hot. Most

Thai prefer an ice cream to refresh
them. So a nutritious paletas would be
a good alternative to unhealthy ice
creams. Paletas are frozen fruit bars on
a wooden stick. The frozen substance
can be milk or fruit juice based.
Materials

Materials (For 6 Popsicles)

- ½ of an Avocado
- 4-5 Bottles of Yakult (Total: 400ml)
- ½ Green Apple
- ¼ Teaspoon Of Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Of Syrup
- 1 Teaspoon Of Lime
Other Materials:
- Popsicle molds
- Blender
- Popsicle Sticks
Methods

Step 1: Prepare ½ of an avocado and ½ green apple into one group of large pieces, and also slice
some of it into cubes (pieces).
Step 2: Put the large pieces of avocado and apple into the blender.
Step 3: Then, pour the 1 bottle of yakult and 1 Tablespoon of Syrup into the blender.
Step 4: After 2 minutes, stop the blender, and then pour the liquid into a separate bowl.
Step 5: Pour the 3 bottles of yakult into the bowl to mix with the liquid.
Step 6: Put the cubes of avocado and green apples and 1 teaspoon of lime into the mixture bowl.
Step 7: Put the popsicle molds into the freezer for over a night.
Step 8: Pull the paletas (popsicle) out of the popsicle molds, and now it will be ready for eating.

Sensory Evaluation: Appearance

For the appearance, we have found out

that most of the survey takers say that our
paleta’s appearance was looking nice and
attractive.

However, there are some who think

that our paleta’s appearance can still be
improve.
Sensory Evaluation: Texture

For the paleta’s texture, we have saw

that most of the survey takers claims that
the paletas were satisfactory or also
good.

Nonetheless, 3 survey takers told

that our paletas’ texture is satisfactory
and still have room for improvement.
Sensory Evaluation: Aroma

Moving on to the paleta’s aroma,

most of the survey takers told that the
smell were good and some say that the
smell were also attractive.

Some still say that our aroma was

still satisfactory and can be more
aromatic.
Sensory Evaluation: Taste

For the paleta’s taste, the participants

mostly tell us that the paletas were delicious
and very good.
Sensory Evaluation: Sweetness & Sourness

For the paleta’s sweetness, every

participants all say the same thing which
is that the sweetness of the paletas was
already pretty well done.

Lastly on the paletas’ sourness, most

of the survey takers said that out paletas’
sourness was already good and taste
well. However, some still say that the
sourness is satisfactory.

Conclusion

We learned a lot of things from this project, including kitchen skills, presenting
skills and marketing plans. And in conclusion, everyone loves cold desert during a hot
day in Thailand. Our paletas would contain less sugar and fats than those in the market,
it could be an alternative for many adults too. Our paletas would be refreshing, nutritious,
and delicious. Moreover, this snack can help with many diseases and nourishes your
skin.
