Overview of the Departments where I Served Internship:

I have worked in the following department during my internship in the organization.

1. Operations Department
In operations department I performed a lot of duties like, account opening, TRF entries,
clearing, and remittance
Account opening:
It is the most crucial department from where the bank earns the profit, through deposits. As
the number of accounts increases the deposit will also increases. The documentation of
account opening is the proof between the bank and the customer. Mr. Hafiz Muhammad
Zulifqar guided me the processes/steps for opening new accounts. Following basic
requirements for opening new account

 NADRA Verification (Verisys)
 Know your customer (KYC) data entry
 The S.S Card (Signature specimen card)
 Valid Copy of CNIC/Passport
 Reference person and his CNIC copy.
 3 photographs for illiterate person or photo account.
In account opening department I learned the process involved in opening new account and
performed this activity several times.
2. Remittance:
In remittance department Mr. Abdul Rauf Bhatti OG-II guided me to perform different
functions. During his supervision I learned all the steps and procedures to perform the basic
functions of remittance. Following are the main duties that I successfully performed in this
department.
 Pay Order
 D.D (Demand Draft)
 Online Money Transactions
 Aftab Currency Exchange
 Western Union
 Call deposit receipt (CDR)
 eCIB

GENERAL BANKING:

 Credit Voucher
 Debit Voucher

In this department Mr. Ali guided me to fill the deposit and credit slips. I performed this
activity. Most of the clients who are illiterate and want to withdraw cash I put amount and
fill other requirements on the checque and then handed over to them for their transaction. Some
of the customer wants to deposit the money in their account I filled the slip for deposit in their
account and guide them for further process. I performed this activity several time in the day. It is
very common practice in the bank.
3. Advances/credit
The main function of this department is to issue loans for different businesses and to support
the customer at maximum level. This is very supportive function of the bank for the growth of
people and to boost the economy of the Pakistan. Mr. Waseem (ACO) and Miss Asifa jabeen
(R.M) helped me to learn the basic functions of this department related to issuance of loans,
measurements and rules for issuing loans for consumer and commercial level. The processes
of this department are very long and take time to complete. The main focus of this department
is on agri loans e.g. tractor, Tralee, harvester, paddy deals, seeds and manure , Dairy forms,
poultry forms etc etc.
4. Marketing
I also joined the marketing department and Mr. Rana Pervaiz Khan (BDO) who guided me the
procedure and techniques to apply in the market for capturing thwe customer attractions and
to compete their competetitior. I visited the market with BDO and area manger Mr. Rao
Safdar to convience the people for opening new accounts and tell them the BOP offerings. I
foll;ow the BDO and Area manger and leaned the techniques. We also get feedback and
suggestion for the improvements in the operations of the bank.
