This festival was meant for old people, not for me.

I don't know what any of this stuff is,

but my parents do. To get me off their back they gave me money to go get candy. The line at the

cotton candy stand is way too long, so I actually look around while waiting for it to shorten a bit.

Something glittery catches my eye in the corner of the tent. I walk over and see that this stand is

just full of money. A larger hand lands on my shoulder while I stare at the merchandise. “Hey

kid I have something here that you would like better. Come behind the counter.” I follow him

and by the time I get behind the counter, he's standing with a glass case that has a wand inside.

“It was the Fairy Godmother’s wand” I look up at him and respond, “There is no way that's real.”

He sighs and pulls the glass off the wand. “Well, let's test it.” He says, handing me the wand to

try out. Sparkles fall from it when I move it. I tap the counter and a frog appears. “You put that

frog there.” I say. He shrugs and waves his hands. “How could I have done that when I'm

standing all the way over here? It's yours now. There won't be many new things in this world for

you. Go and create them.”
