To Whom It May Concern:

I had the great pleasure of working with Ms. Nicole Steele, as my intern teacher during the
spring, 2019 school year. I would like to take this time to highly recommend Nicole for your
teaching position.

I feel very confident that Nicole will be an asset to your school district. She is able to develop
lesson plans and implement them effectively, and she is also able to change her lessons to fit
the students responses and needs as she teaches. Nicole is very comfortable using technology
and is able to use many different resources to help the students access the curriculum in which
she is teaching. She is very eager to learn new things and try to implement them, and is willing
to accept challenges in and out of the classroom.

Nicole is able to reach students on any academic level. She is able to change a lesson to fit the
many needs of the students. She makes the students feel safe and loved. Nicole understands
the importance of classroom management, building trust with her students, and the importance
of parent relationships and communication. She also understands the importance of building
relationships within the school building with other staff members, as well as in the community.
Nicole is a wonderful collaborator, and is willing and able to effectively work with others in order
to help all students reach their full potential.

Nicole is a team player. She came to every staff meeting, professional development, Child
Study Team Meeting, IEP meeting, as well as other meetings within the special education
department or with parents that arose as the semester progressed. She also had the
opportunity to write many IEP’s and run multiple IEP meetings during the course of her
semester as a student teacher in my classroom, which she handled professionally with great
confidence, respect, and empathy to those involved. She volunteered for fundraisers and after
school activities as well. Nicole has the true heart of a teacher, and desires to be involved in her
school community.

It is for these reasons that I recommend Nicole for your teaching position. If you have any
questions regarding this recommendation, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be
more than happy to talk!

Sincerely,

Kathryn Edwards
