The completion of this in plant training makes me to recall with gratitude several
persons who extended their operation in any way or the other in venture.

course of BBA degree. And also special thanks to our college principal prof. S K JAMADAR
SIR & Prof. M M GOUDAR. for their guidance and direction for my project .

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Sugarcane is one of the major comely crops in country. Sugarcane is important raw
materials to produce sugar, enough of sugarcane growing in Bijapura & Bagalkot district as
made the sugar industries to accumulate in these industries.

Earlier Bagalkot was industrially backward city but now accumulation of these
sugar industries has given life blood industries growth of Bagalkot district.

Development of sugar industries will lead to optimum urtilization of sugarcane


and produce sugar. Sugar has played a very signification role in India’s agricultural and
industries economy. Although sugarcane occupies barely 3% of Indie’s total cultivable area
about million people are dependent on sugarcane forming and sugar industries is that more then
58% of production takes place in co- operative crops which are also the local point multi
dimensional socio-economic development in rural areas.

India is the largest consumer and second largest producer of sugar in the world.
The sufficient and well distributed monsoon rains, rapid population growth and substantial
increase in sugar production capacity have combined to make India the largest consumer and
second largest producer in world.

It is very much that there is a wide scope for sugar industries. Apart form this the
Government is also interested in inspiring the sugar industries to take up export.

Shri Balaji sugars and chemicals PVT.LTD.Yaragal. has a wide scope for its
functioning in Bagalkot district.

The whole organization study show that there is cooperation between each
department and financial background by this company is growing day by day. This study is done
on inventory management by using various ratios like inventory turnover ratio, inventory to
current ratio ets. Findings and suggestions were given for the development of organization.
