When to use has, had and have?
. If you use has alone it is referring to the "third person" and saying that that person
possesses something. (He has an expensive watch . She has a large house)
When we use have we are either talking about ourselves or the general idea of
possessing something
(I have a good friend . It would be nice to have a bigger house).
Had on the other hand is referring to something that was possessed in the past...but not
now.
(I had a good car...but now I dont).
To recap
She has a horse (Something another person has (possesses)
I have a horse (Something That I possess or something that I own
She had a horse or I had horse (Something that I owned in the past or something somebody else
owned in the past)
