HOW TO PLAY
• This is a two-player game.
• Lay out the grand staff cards, 3 x 3.
• The first player draws a letter card and places it face
up on the correct note.
• The second player draws a letter card and places it
face down on the correct note.
• The winner is the first to get 3 in a row (like noughts
and crosses or Xs and Os).

ASSEMBLY
To assemble this game:

• Print out the game cards (page 3 & 4).


• Cut apart the cards along the dotted lines.
• Laminate if desired.
• Put the letter cards in a bag or other container that
players can draw from.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
3-in-a-Row reinforces the beginner note names to give be-
ginning students a boost with note names around middle C.
