    Start by asking this question and you’ll get an approximate idea of the student’s level:
    Is this your first time studying English?

    Beginner
    - How are you?
    - What’s your name?
    - How do you spell your surname?
    - How old are you?
    - When is your birthday?
    - Where are you from?
    - What do you do? / What is your job?
    - How many hours do you work a day?
    - What time do you usually wake up?

    Elementary
    - When did you join your company?
    - Why do you need to study English?
    - Can you tell me about your family?
    - What do you do in your free time?
    - Do you practice any sport?
    - When was your last trip or vacation? Where did you go?
    - Did you like the place?
    - What are you going to do on your next vacation?

    Pre-intermediate
    - What do you do every day in jour job?
    - How long have you worked for Lawter?
    - Where did you work before?
    - Have you ever traveled to an English speaking country?
    - What did you do there? Did you like it?

    Intermediate
    - What do you enjoy most about your job?
    - Do you feel that you have enough free time?
    - If you had more free time, what would you do?
