Our Lord. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM.

Holy Orthodox Church, The Descent of the Holy Spirit!

FATHER’S DAY this year will be held on Sunday, June

Fathers, Grandfathers, and Godfathers of our parish
and those who have gone to their eternal reward by
lighting a candle in their honor. Most importantly,
please remember your father not only on this day but
everyday of the year. May the Good Lord grant peace,
prosperity, and good health for Many Blessed Years!
Grant Eternal Rest to Fathers, Grandfathers and
Godfathers who have gone to their eternal reward.
Eternal Memory!
FLOWERS ARE NEEDED to decorate our outside
Church Sign! Can you help by donating money to help
defray the cost of these flowers. Please see Matushka
Ludmila at the candle desk to help beautify the front of
our church.
NO KNEELING IN CHURCH until Pentecost Sunday
when Father John will recite the kneeling prayers.
GENERAL CONFESSION will be held this month on

to confess our sins as we know not when the Good Lord
will call us home to our Eternal reward! Be Prepared!
SUMMER MONTHS are fast approaching and this
means so will our expenses for air conditioning! Please
be generous towards your church to cover these
expenses. Please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle
desk to help defray the cost of electricity.
SUNDAY JUNE 23rd: Our ANNUAL CHURCH
PICNIC Luncheon will be held on Sunday June 23rd. All
are welcome to attend this last luncheon before the
summer months. We will continue again with these
luncheons beginning in September. Please make an
effort to be with us!
SAVE THE DATE: We are looking to raise funds for
our Parish with a special concert and brunch with the
renowned LIBBY PRISON MINSTRELS. This is a
group of talented men, who includes our very own
Protodeacon John Suchernick as a member. He has
graciously agreed to bring this group to our Parish for a
lively concert of music from the Civil War both
Southern and Northern. Stay tuned for the date!
A BIG THANK YOU! Throughout the year we as a
Parish Family enjoy gathering each month with a
luncheon. It’s a great time to break bread together and
enjoy fellowship with our church family. This can’t be
done without the help of the sisterhood and
brotherhood who prepare the meals and clean up
afterwards. We especially like to thank Nadja Schmidt,
Fred Schmidt, Matushka Donnalynn and Matushka
Ludmila who make sure the meals are prepared and
ready for our enjoyment. To those who chip in to wash
the dishes or help out by baking delicious desserts,
especially Monja Crandall, whose coconut cake is one to
die for, we thank you as well. If I forgot anyone please
let me know so you can be recognized as well in the next
newsletter! Many Years to you all!
SPECIAL THANK YOU to all of our friends, family
and benefactors who throughout this year have
answered our many pleas for donations. You have been
over the top to keep our parish on an even keel and
making our loving parish stand firm for future years.
Whenever we needed items like a mixer for the parish
or vestments you have been there for us. We are forever
grateful for your generosity and we hope others will
answer the call when needed! May the God Lord
shower His blessings upon all our family, benefactors,
and friends for Many Blessed Years!
