EVENTS CELEBRATED IN ITALY

1.EPIPHANY:
1.takes place after Christmas
2.celebrated to remember the visit of the Wise men or when Jesus officially was
declared as a Christian
3. In Italy a woman is said to give sweets for the good and coal for the naughty
kids.
4. celebrated with a wonderful parade.

2. Carnevale:
1.Traditionally, this is celebrated with Renaissance musicians, horses,
dancers, and bands all coming together each year between February and
March.
2. a grand parade travels throughout Florence with highlights such as the
beautiful costumes, floats and a puppet dragon.
6. Notte Bianca

1.The “White Night,” which occurs on the evening of April 30th, celebrates Spring with a
night where no one sleeps!

2. For this evening, museums and shops stay open late and the streets are alive with
festivities such as street performances and live music.

3The city turns into one giant party for the evening leading into the Italian national
holiday on May 1st, May Day.

4. Republic Day

1.The Republic Day is held on June 2nd as a national holiday.

2.The day celebrates the decision to become a democratic republic.
