Subject: Researching the Effect of Social Media Fast Fashion and Sustainable Fashion.

Dear Ms. McNeill​:

My name is Carly Angel and I am a junior at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Maryland.
This year I am enrolled in my schools Independent Research class where I am currently
researching the effects of social media on the rise of fast fashion, and how the sustainable
fashion industry is working to combat this. After reading some of your publications like
Sustainable fashion consumption and the fast fashion conundrum: fashionable consumers and
attitudes to sustainability in clothing choice, I believe that your work lines up with my research
interests and project direction.

For my project this year, I require a research advisor to guide me. Your expertise would certainly
help me if you would be willing to provide any advice, direction, or ideas regarding the
progression of my research. I would be grateful if I got the chance to interview you at some point
this year, and I will appreciate any references in locating information on sustainable fashion. It
would also be very beneficial to me if you could review some of my major assignments like a
research paper, to offer feedback.
