TO PREVENT THE MANUAL ERRORS AND TO NAVIGATE THE SHIPS

THROUGH THE RESTRICTED WATERS USING UNMANNED SHIPS.

INTRODUCTION:

In recent years, a remarkable development has attracted the attention of the

shipping and maritime sector, namely the “Unmanned” and/or “Autonomous” (AtS)
ship projects.
Using the latest ICT systems, ships can built with enhanced control capabilities,
communication, and interfaces, and they will soon be run by remote land based or
offshore services, whenever and wherever they are required. These systems have
the potential to enhance the safety, reliability, and performance of shipping
companies, but also pose challenges and risks that must be identified, understood,
and addressed so that new innovative technologies integrate with the design and
operation of the ships to ensure safety.

FEATURES:

Autonomous ship is a next generation modular control and communications

technology system of systems which will “enable wireless monitoring and control
functions both on and off board. This Project includes advanced decision support
systems to provide a capability to operate ships remotely under semi or fully
autonomous control”.

Besides, this includes, sensors fitted in required places to monitor its navigation
without damage to the ship and to the opposite party (either movable and non
movable things) . Sensors at places where temperature sensing is mandatory.

Camera fixed in outer parts of the ship to monitor everything around us on the outer
part .

Flexible solar panels for fuel replacement thus saving fuel consumption to run the
propeller.

Inflating balloon to keep damaged ships afloat, viz after a ship accident, balloons
popped up like car airbags to keep the disabled vessel upright and afloat.
