PROTESTS
If a team feels an official has misinterpreted a rule in the NFHS handbook, the protesting team must call a
timeout and protest to that official, who made the call. If the official made the correct call, then the play
goes on until there is a winner at the end. The game will be stopped to make a ruling from the Head of
Officials. Failure to call time-out and make an immediate ruling from the Head of Officials at the time of
the rule in question the protesting team can no longer protest the rule after the misinterpreted rule been
violated. In addition, they cannot protest the rule after the game. If the official’s ruling is changed, then
whatever the call was then is reversed and play goes on. If the protesting team still feels the ruling is
incorrect, it must contact the NFHS organization and explain what happened and what the misinterpreted
rule was and what should’ve been the correct call during the game.

Dicks Sporting Goods is the sponsorship we plan on working with. Dicks Sporting Goods does great work
with recreational communities especially when it comes to tournaments. Dicks Sporting Goods says, “we
believe Sports Matter because participation in sports makes people better.” They also went on to say,
“Sports increase confidence and motivate kids to stay in the classroom and aim for higher education.” We
will have Dicks Sporting Goods logo on our jerseys in return for helping us with the tournament. We also
plan on getting every player that is registered, to get their student schedule. The reasoning is so if they get
