1. 2 Kiwanians volunteered to distribute
information on SAFE Homes campaign
on “National Prescription Take Back”
Day, April 27th at Walmart. Unused or
expired drugs at home are a safety is-
sue that could lead to accidental poi-
soning, misuse, and overdose.
2. Thanks to our club, little Miss Azalee
Wheeler’s kindergarten class in Alma
collected the most can tabs for a recy-
cling and fundraising project that will
benefit Ronald McDonald House Chari-
ties in Atlanta.
3. 8 Kiwanians were present at Action
Pact’s Annual Head Start Volunteer
Recognition Luncheon on May 6th. Our
club was one of several organizations
recognized for its voluntary service.
4. 12 Kiwanians volunteered in May to
attend award ceremonies at Center,
Memorial Drive, and Ruskin Elemen-
tary schools and support 18 awardees
in our Bring up Grades program.
