HYOSCINE BUTYLBROMIDE

Presentation Tablet: 10mg


Injection: 20mg/mL

Dose Acute GI spasm


Oral:
10 - 20mg 3 to 4 times a day
IV Injection:
20 - 40mg up to every 30 minutes. Maximum daily dose of 100mg

Administration IV injection
Administration:
IV Injection: Slow IV over 3 to 5 minutes
IM injection
Administration:
IM Injection: Inject into a large muscle
Subcut injection
Administration:
Subcut Injection: Suitable in palliative care patients as an intermittent
injection or as a continuous subcutaneous infusion

Pregnancy 1st Trimester: Considered safe to use


2nd Trimester: Considered safe to use
3rd Trimester: Considered safe to use

Breastfeeding Considered safe to use
