 ABSRACT

This document is meant for describing all the features and procedures that were followed
while developing the system. This document specially mentions the details of the project how
it was developed, the primary requirement, as well as various features and functionalities of
the project and the procedures followed in achieving these objectives.

Online Examination System is a software solution which allows a particular company or

institute to arrange, conduct and manage examination via an online environment. This
can be done through internet, intranet and /or LAN environments Some of the problems
faced by manual examination system are delays is result processing, filing poses a
problem, filtering of records is not easy, the chance of loss of records is high and also record
searching is difficult. In manual examination system maintenance is very major problem and
it takes lot of time and effort. It is very essential for an Institute to handle the Examinations and
their results

It is very useful for an Institute to test its students continuously for their mutual development.
This system is helpful for conducting (M.C) Multiple Choice Examinations which can be
conducted regularly as well as for surprise tests and provides immediate results saving the
precious time of faculties to check the papers and prepare mark sheets. The IT initiatives have
encouraged various Organizations to develop systems to facilitate their day to day operations.

The Online Examination System will include various Courses and subjects for conducting
examinations. This system helps in conducting examinations quickly and can thus help in saving
time and the operations will be carried out efficiently We intended to use the system
development life cycle(SDLC) which is a conceptual model We intended to use the system

Exam Net online examination system project itself is a huge project comprising three
modules that is Admin panel, Test conductor panel and finally Student panel. The admin have
the administrative power to manage student management panel and test conductor panel.
The admin have privilege to create or destroy the user account of student as well as the
test conductor. In this examination system the student can sign up using the register option.
Test conductor user name and password should be provided by the administrator only.

In this examination system we can manage users, manage results summary, manage
subjects, prepare questions and manage tests. Every test is associated with some secret code and
validity

We are developing this project using Html, JavaScript and PHP for its flexibility and more
simplicity to understand the coding styles and we use MySQL database management
Server. The exam net online examination system overcomes the shortcomings of
manual examination system and has better extensibility and flexibility
