NOAH: A blessed morning to everyone.

Today’s event marks as one of the most-awaited

commemorative event not only for our dear students but also to our proud and
supportive parents and partners in education as well.
To our highly respected schools division superintendent as duly represented by our
dear and dynamic public schools district supervisor for DLC 9, Dr. Bernadita G. Aceño;
MATILDE: our beloved and active School Principal, Ma’am Joelma I. Dagami, equally able
department heads; our guest of honor in today’s event, PO1 Roger S. Almedilla; our
fellow highly competent and deeply motivated members of the faculty and staff;
NOAH: to the proud and loving parents;
MATILDE: to our dearest students,
NOAH: visitors and friends,
MATILDE: ladies and gentlemen,
BOTH: welcome to the 26th Recognition Ceremony of Marasbaras National High School.
NOAH: It has been a year of gaining knowledge and learning new things. A year of friendships,
challenges and opportunities. And we are all gathered here today to celebrate those
achievements. The trials and the hardships that our students had triumphed are really
worth celebrating, since another chapter of their academic lives has come to close.
MATILDE: Of course, this would not be possible without the guidance and care of the parents, the
hard work and patience of our teachers, the support of our stakeholders, the
management and supervision of school, district and division administrations and the
very persistence and determination that lies within our students’ hearts.
NOAH: May we request everyone to please rise for opening prayer to be led by Ma’am Candice
P. Olivares and the singing of the Philippine national anthem to be led by Ma’am Joan
Rose Nicasio. This will be followed by the singing of the DepEd Tacloban City Division
Hymn.
MATILDE: You may now take your seats.
Today signifies the culmination in another year of hard work in the relentless pursuit of
knowledge that will enable our students to embrace the opportunities and take on
challenges life may bring with courage, confidence and wisdom.
NOAH: Today marks another milestone in our lives and in the history of Marasbaras National
High School as we gather and celebrate success on today’s Recognition Rites.
So, let us all give a big hand and lend our ears to one of our respected head teachers
from the English Department, Ma’am Deropbie Minda D. Aseo, for her welcome
address.

MATILDE: Thank you, ma’am for a very warm welcome.

Malcolm X once said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to
those who prepare for it today.” Thus, our years spent in school are not just life-
learning experiences but are preparations to help us become active and responsible
citizens of our motherland.
NOAH: I agree, Ma’am Mat. Each of us are who we are today because of life-long education.
Hence, we are privilege today to have one of our former students here in Marasbaras
National High School to inspire our young minds and motivate them to pursue
excellence. Without further ado, may we request Mrs. Crisce Q. Pallones, to introduce
our guest speaker.

MATILDE: At an event such as this, it is good to remember all the accomplishments that we
achieved through united efforts and diverse collaborations. At this point, let us pay
attention and pin our ears to the prime mover of this school, our beloved and
endearing school principal, Ma’am Joelma I. Dagami, as she delivers her state of the
school address and closing insights. Let us give her a big applause.

NOAH: Thank you ma’am for that very inspiring message. As we end today’s affair, thank you
so much for your participation and congratulations to all the awardees. At this point,
we would like to leave a thought for all of us.

US president Abraham Lincon, once quoted, “Don’t worry when you are not
recognized, but strive to be worthy of recognition.” It’s hard not to be recognized…
when you feel like you deserve it, when you feel like it’s been left up to you, when you
have been given responsibility, when you feel like you have aced the test, when you
feel worthy of it, when you think it couldn’t have been done without you, when you
know that you gave 100%, when it cost you a lot, when you sacrificed, and when you
want it.
MATILDE: I could not agree more. Indeed, we may not be worth of the recognition in human eyes
but remember, God will always be our great audience in everything, He knows best,
more than giving a certificate, a medal, or a shake hand, it is His glory, His blessings.
This has been your masters of ceremony, MATILDE G. MACAWILE…
NOAH: and NOAH JUSTINE C. SAYSON …
BOTH: Congratulations and To God be the Glory!
