ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN ENGLISH


2018-2019

I. INTRODUCTION:

Education is very important to improve ourselves but learning English also


improves the quality of life. The benefits it bring in the life of a person’s knowledge
of the English language is countless. It also allows us to relate and understand each
other.
This report intends to:
1. Give information about achievements/ accomplishments made by the teacher
and the pupils.
2. Identify the activities undertaken to achieve the desire target for this year.
3. Express future plans for the subject.

II. Accomplishments
The following activities were done to achieve our target of zero non-reader
and improvement of pupils in all aspects with regards to English subject.
1. Implementation of the Phil-IRI to profile our pupils.
Here, the teachers were very careful in conducting the Phil-IRI to really find
out the reading level of each pupil since we embarked on the new
administration of it

2. Execution of Oral Reading


Assessment. First wave and
second wave of
administration were already
done. In the end, there is a
development in terms of
reading level of the pupils.
And the progress could be
attributed to the effort
exerted by the advisers
with the guidance of the
principal.

3. Handling of
School Based
Training on Campus
Journalism wherein
the main objective
of this activity is to
boost the talents of
our pupils in Campus
Journalism in
preparation for
District Contest.

4. Reinforcement of DEAR time


wherein pupils read any reading
materials every 12:30 in the
afternoon. Through DEAR time
we lessen our non- readers and
we can also instill to our pupils
the love for reading.

5. Conducting of Pre-test and Post-test in English and also the administration of


Periodic Test and analysis of the results every grading.
6. Complied the National Reading Month Celebration.
Different activities were done to impart to the pupils the
importance of reading. Pupils
participated in
Araw ng
Pagbasa wherein
simultaneous
reading was
done.

III. FUTURE PLANS


1. Provide intensive reading activities to enhance the skills of the pupils in oral
and silent reading, as well as reading with comprehension.
2. Extend connections with all possible stakeholders to secure improvement of
school facilities as well as to the improvement of different programs/activities
and projects.
3. Apply different interventions and activities that will suit the pupils’ ability to
improve their performance.
4. Unceasingly seek out the 100% support of the parents and all the stakeholders
in the attainment of all the programs and projects of the school.
