Project Proposal

BATANGAS SUMMER YOUTH LEADERSHIP ALUMNI COMMUNITY

I. Batangas Summer Youth Leadership Alumni Community (Batangas


SmYLAC)

After campers from all over the Batangas province finish the summer camp,
they are invited to join the alumni community – an organization that mainly aims to
mobilize the campers for youth empowerment and community building by
supporting each others advocacies and passion. It will help its members realize
their own advocacies through seminars and workshops. More importantly, the
organization will work on projects and activities to help make each others’
advocacies a reality, and building up the community in the process. The
organization is an outlet for patriotic youth of the Batangas province.

II. Objectives

a. General

To mobilize the Batangas youth for youth empowerment and community


building

b. Specific
i. To FOSTER patriotism and concern for one’s community among the
members
ii. To SUPPORT the advocacies of the members
iii. To INVOKE critical thinking and creative ideas among the youth
towards action for nation building
iv. To PROVIDE a venue where national and regional issues may be
discussed

III. Measurement of Objectives

All objectives are deemed to have been attained with:

a. The conduct of monthly meetings


b. The successful organization of at least two projects in its initial year, and at
least five projects in succeeding years
c. Participation of at least 20 members in its monthly meetings, in its initial year,
and at least 30 members in succeeding years

IV. Organizations Involved and Delegation of Work

a. Batangas SmYLAC
a. Come up with a sustainable organizational structure and protocols
b. Link members by the creation of a communication system
c. Conduct monthly meetings to discuss the organization’s projects and
activities
d. Ensure the development of its members by constantly partnering with
other organizations and speakers
e. Create projects that respond to the needs of the Batangas
community in our capacity as the youth
b. Air Education and Training Command (AETC)
a. Provide logistical support for the Batangas SmyLAC monthly
meetings and other activities
b. Advise the Batangas SmYLAC in projects
c. Other Government Agencies
a. Conduct briefings and seminar trainings for the members

Roles:

1. President – oversees the activities of the entire organization, following up on


all officers and coordinating with partners. He/She also makes sure that
members’ inputs are properly accounted for and considered.
2. Vice President for External Projects – supervises all the activities of the
organization regarding external projects, and handles all the Project Heads
of each External Project.
3. Vice President for Internal Projects - supervises all the activities of the
organization regarding internal projects, and handles all the Project Heads of
each Internal Project.
4. Secretary – takes minutes of meetings, and keeps a record of all relevant
documents of the organization. He/She will help the President and Vice
Presidents in following up other officers on their duties and responsibilities.
5. Treasurer – takes account of all resources of the organization, and maintains
an audited statement of its finances.
6. Publicity Officer – makes sure that all the activities of the organization are
properly publicized for maximum participation and effectivity.
7. Assistant Secretary for Communications – in charge of disseminating
information to all members of the organization
8. Resource Management Team – looks for sponsors to fund activities of the
organization
9. Creatives Team – designs and takes charge of the production of posters and
other collaterals of the organization.
