    Photoshop: Smudge and Blur Tool
    Smudge Tool

    The smudge tool smoothly blends two colors together. It’s the
    equivalent of dragging your finger through wet paint. This was
    effective when creating my drawing, which I titled “Beauty In Life.”
    Blur Tool

    The blur tool is effective when you want the rough line separating two colors
    to disappear. Using the Blur Tool was much easier than using the Smudge Tool
    because I had more control over how much it would blend.
    Pros and Cons

    ★ Smudge and Blur Tool together was very ❖ Smudge Tool was difficult to use
    effective blend-wise ➢ The color would pull too far away
    ★ Really fun to experiment with and just create a smear
    ❖ Spent so long trying to get the colors to

    I would first blur the


    colors, then smudge them
    to touch them up, then
    finish by blurring them
    again.
