DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE:
In the case reinstallation of the OS of the CSL is required (when the HDD is broken or replaced, etc.),
setting of Firewall is necessary.
This ECN provides the setting procedures of Firewall.
If update failure between the CSL and the RU occurred, check the Firewall settings again.
Refer to the attached (Appendix_Procedures to implement when reinstalling the OS (Windows 7)) for the
details.

Procedures to implement when reinstalling the OS (Windows 7)
1. Installing PC-TOOL of RU
(1) Click the [Windows log mark] in the taskbar –> [Control Panel] -> [User Account and Family Safety] ->
[User Account] -> [Change User Account Control Settings].
Slide down the slide bar of [Choose when to be notified about changes to your computer] to [Never notify].
Reboot the PC.
* In the case the slide bar is already set to [Never notify], rebooting of the PC is not necessary.
(2) Install the PC-TOOL with usual procedure. (Refer to the manual installation procedure)
(3) Click [Windows logo mark] in the taskbar -> [Control Panel] -> [User Account and Family Safety] -> [User
Account] -> [Change User Account Control Settings].
Set the slide bar of [Choose when to be notified about changes to your computer] to [Notify me only
when programs try to make changes to my computer].
2. Windows Firewall settings
(1) Click [Windows logo mark] -> [Control Panel] -> [System and Security] -> [Windows Firewall]-> [Allow a
program or feature through Windows Firewall].
(2) Click [Allow another program] and [Browse…] in the “Add a Program” dialog.
Select below executable files and click [Open].
C:¥WINDOWS¥SYTEM32¥FTP.exe
C:¥WINDOWS¥SYTEM32¥inetsrv¥inetinfo.exe
Confirm that the files to be added in the [Add a program] dialog are selected and click [Add].
(3) Go back to Windows Firewall and confirm that the executable files are displayed and ticked in the
“Selected programs and files”. (File transfer program/Internet Information Services)
(4) Click [Advanced settings] and [Inbound rules] in the left pane.
Right click [Inbound rules] in the left pane and click [New rules].
(6) Select [Allow the connection] for [Action] and click [Next].
Select [Domain/Private/Public] for [Profile] and click [Next].
(7) Input [FTP_port] in the [Name] field of [Name] and click [Finish].
(8) Confirm that the port is added in the list of Inbound Rules and enabled.
(9) Right click [FTP Service Passive (FTP Passive Traffic-In)] in the center pane and click [Enable Rule].
Click “x” button in the right top to close the dialog.
3. FTP security settings
(1) Click [Windows logo mark] in the taskbar -> [Control Panel] -> [System and Security] -> [Administration
Tools] and double click [Internet Information Service (IIS)].
(2) Click [Computer name], [Site] and [Default FTP Site] in the left pane of [Internet Information Service] dialog.
Double click [FTP Authentification] in the center pane of the dialog and if [Anonymous Authentication] status is
enabled, right click it and select “Deactivate”.
(3) Click “x” in the right top of [Internet Information Service (IIS) manager] dialog to close it.
(1) Click [Windows logo mark] in the taskbar -> [Control Panel] -> [Program] -> [Turn Windows features on or
off].
(2) Enable below items in addition to the standard setting. (Tick “ ” the items)

5. FTP service auto-startup settings
(1) Click [Windows logo mark] in the taskbar -> [Control Panel] -> [System and Security] -> [Administration
Tools] and double click [Service].
(2) Double click [Microsoft FTP Service], select “Automatic” for [Startup type] and click [OK].
