    Question

    In sūrah al-Fātiḥah, the word 


     is used twice.

    The first has « » and the second has no « ». Why?

    Faḍīlat al-Shaykh Dr. V. Abdur Rahim (! "#$%) replies:

    This is because the second 


     is muḍāf.
