ITINERARY

Day 01
Pick up from Delhi or Chandigarh and drive to Shimla (375 kms / Approx 10 hrs
from Delhi / 7500 Feet & 120 kms / Approx 5 hrs from Chandigarh / 7500 Feet):

Welcome onboard a wonderful tour with your own Thomas Cook to one of the most
happening destination - Himachal! Today, we start a scenic drive from Delhi meeting
point towards Shimla. Situated in the Himalayan ranges, Shimla is a picturesque hill
station in Himachal Pradesh. Check in at the resort and relax. Over night at the resort.

Note : Tourists coming down from other cities on their own have to reach Delhi latest
by 8am on the day of departure. The pickup will be from Meeting Point (Hotel Classic
or Similar) and the vehicles shall depart at 09.00 am from the respective hotel and
Tourists coming down from other cities on their own have to reach Chandigarh latest
by 1200 am on the day of departure.
Day 02
In Shimla – Naldhera, Kufri And Mall Road:
Today morning after a filling delicious breakfast, visit Naldhera. It boasts of the oldest
9 hole golf course in the country. Crowned with a springing turf the Golf Course
was suggested by Lord Curzon. He was so enchanted by the place that he gave
his daughter Alexendra, “Naldehra” as her second name. The Naga temple is also
situated here and Naldehra derives its name from it.
Later drive to Kufri derives its name from ‘Kufri’ which means lake. It is especially
popular among trekkers. The salubrious climate and stunning natural beauty makes
Kufri a perfect summer getaway. Kufri is also a haven for nature enthusiasts and
wildlife lovers as the Himalayan Nature Park is situated on the outskirts of the town.
The Park is home to over 180 varieties of fauna.
Visit Kufri Fun Campus (Free Entry worth of Rs 250 Per Pax and get 20% discount
on activity (Feb- Mar 2019 Departure)

Thereafter visit the famous mall road of Shimla. Visit the Scandal Point, Jhakoo Temple
(private vehicles do not have access to Jhakoo temple because of the location. The
guests can take a shared taxi available on Mall Road and visit the temple. It’s advisable
to visit the temple before it turns dark; hence the guests can first visit the temple and
then spend time on the mall road.) After ample of Shopping time, return to your hotel
for a mouth watering dinner. Overnight in the resort.

Day 03
Transfer To Manali (290Kms / Approx 08 To 09 Hours / 6,726 Feet):

After an early breakfast, depart for Manali by road. Enjoy the scenic beauty of
enchanting Kullu Valley while you drive to Manali. In Hinduism, Manu was said to
have survived a great flood that destroyed the rest of the world. He then recreated
mankind in this Kullu Valley town. Boost your adrenaline rush while you enjoy White
Water Rafting in the gushing waters of the Beas River (on your own). Later arrive in
Manali and check in at the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 04
In Manali – Day At Leisure – Reserved For Excursion To Snow Point And Solang
Excursion (51 K Ms / Approx 3.5 Hours One Way / On Direct Payment Basis):
After early breakfast enjoy a breathtaking drive to Snow Point on the road to Rohthang
Pass (Closed On Tuesdays). Known for its scenic beauty, Rohtang Pass holds strategic
importance for India. Manali-Leh Highway, a part of NH 21, transverses Rohtang Pass.
The name Rohtang means ‘ground of corpses’ due to the number of people who lost
their lives trying to cross it. Besides Lahaul and Spiti, Rohtang Pass also serves as the
gateway to Pangi and the valley of Leh. The Pass offers beautiful sights of glaciers,
peaks, Lahaul Valley and the Chandra River. The twin peaks of Geypan are also visible
from Rohtang.
Later visit the famous Solang Valley. Solang Valley, locally known as Solang Nullah,
is renowned as the preferred location for adventure activities in Himachal Pradesh.
For those who love the rush of adrenaline; there is no place better than Solang in
Kullu Valley to indulge in parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing. It is 8500 feet
above mean sea level. Solang is not just about adventure activities. Its lush greenery,
apple orchards, snowcapped peaks and lakes attracts lacs of visitors. Return to hotel
by the evening. Enjoy Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 06
Transfer To Chandigarh/Panchkula (320Kms / Approx 09 To 10 Hours):

Today after breakfast, wave a goodbye to Manali and drive to Chandigarh by road.
Visit the well known Kullu Vaishnomata Temple in Kullu. Later check in at the hotel in
Chandigarh. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07
Chandigarh Sightseeing and Drive to Delhi (265kms / approx. 06 hours drive)

Last day of the tour, today after early breakfast, visit Rock Garden. Chandigarh rock
garden is an epitome of creativity and innovation. It is a unique garden that consists
of various art objects. But the best part about the rock garden is that each of its
artwork has been made by using industrial & urban waste. Adjoining Rock Garden is
the Sukhna Lake. Chandigarh Sukhna Lake serves as a great picnic spot and an apt
place for pursuing water sport activities like boating, yachting and water skiing etc.
Later proceed to Delhi. The mesmerizing tour concludes as the coach drops you at
Delhi Domestic Airport. You can aboard your further connection for your place with
innumerable Himachal memories!

flights/trains after 6pm on the last day of tour – subject the traffic, road conditions

• The Pick Up point for clients who shall fly down from various hubs shall be
meeting Point. i.e. HOTEL CLASSIC (as per category booked) and pick up
the remaining clients from there at around 9.00am. The time may vary by 20
minutes depending on the traffic and queue for the parking.
• In Kufri, beyond the car parking, it is advisable to hire a pony on direct payment
basis because of the bad road conditions; though it’s a short distance and can
be trekked on foot.
• You can hire the snow-wears on the way to Snow Point, Manali on direct
payment basis
• Please consult driver / local representative for next day’s sightseeing schedule
/ Transfers timings. If any passenger fails to follow timings given to him, then he
may miss that particular sightseeing / transfers and Thomas Cook will not be
responsible to arrange the same. He / She Needs to arrange the same on direct
payment basis.
• Few hotels / resorts used in the packages are located on the outskirts of the
towns; specifically selected to avoid crowed areas and traffic congestions in
the peak season.
• Thomas Cook shall not be responsible for any change in the itinerary due
to strikes, landslides, flight cancellations, weather conditions, government
enforcements or any unforeseen circumstances which are beyond our control.
The additional cost incurred will be in addition to the cost and directly payable.
• Rohtang Pass Excursion is not included in the above tour cost. Further to the
severe strikes by Local taxi Unions in May 2014, the NGT law allows a limited
number of specifically categorized cars to Rohtang, which are mostly the
Union’s Vehicles. The law and the rules are still undergoing changes and might
change again in near future. Hence, we cannot assure Rohtang excursion unless
the court declares its final judgement. However, the clients can directly hire local
cars as per availability or look out for public transport like HPTDC buses. The
hotel’s reception shall assist them in this.
• Travelling in winter from November to February is peak winter period and hence
chances of heavy snow fall at Shimla, Manali, upper Dharamshala & Dalhousie
region. Temperature in night and morning can be freezing cold (below zero)
and day time it can be from 2 °C to 12 °C. Hence suggest bringing clothing
accordingly. Also during winters we suggest hotels near to the city centre only
• During sightseeing in Manali, our vehicle will drop client in parking area. Clients
have to reach Temples/Monuments by walk.
• Rohtang pass remains closed from November till mid May due to heavy
snow. Hence will take the guest up till snow line towards Rohtang pass. Hence
Mentioned Snow point only. Also due to heavy snow some sightseeing or
excursion of Dalhousie, Manali & Shimla might not possible. But there would not
be any compensation in cost and tour cost would remain the same.
• Rohtang Pass excursion will depend on the availability of the permit & guest has
to pay environmental tax and snow point vehicle charge directly, if applicable.
• In case of heavy snow fall although local administration try to clear the main
road as soon as possible. but all our drivers are also instructed that in such
situation when if they see that weather is bad and there is chance of snow fall
than driver always keep the vehicle at some nearer distance on lower height
where less snow falls.
• However in this situation any expenditure occurred to reach from hotel till your
vehicle parking or vice versa, like local porters to carry the luggage or some
horse, pony or local vehicle like 4x4 armada, Jeepsy etc that expenditures would
be born by the guest only. As the same is not included in our transport cost
• Rohtang Pass will open from 15th May onwards and booking as per subject
to availability.
