Assessment 2 – Project
Student instructions:
The following project must be performed on an organisation of your choice, your
workplace, your own business or a hypothetical business.
You must discuss your chosen business with your trainer prior to commencing
this assessment task. Your task is to plan, implement and manage a blog
and content marketing strategy for your chosen organisation using the given
template.
It is recommended to utilise your own business (if you have one) or alternatively
create a hypothetical business based on one of your passion points. For
example, if you have a passion for photography create a photography services
business, if you have a passion for marketing create a social media consultancy
and so forth. The more engaged you are with your chosen business, the better
your final project will be.
As the social media manager for your organisation, assume that your goals are
to:
1. Create awareness of the organisation’s blog and product range or services
2. Grow your network of subscribers and social media followers
3. Drive more traffic to your organisation’s website

Note:
If you select an organisation that you have access to, or an organisation you
currently work for, you must:
1. Obtain written permission from the appropriate stakeholder (such as the
marketing manager) clearly stating that the organisation grants permission
for you to develop and implement a blog and content marketing strategy on
its behalf, including permission to post content to the organisation’s blog
and/or social media networks
2. Include a copy of the written permission along with your assessment
3. Obtain all necessary logins to the organisation’s blog platforms and social
media networks

Your completed project template and assessment must:

1. Contain professional clear, concise language
2. Adhere to the layout and instructions provided in the template
3. Provide detailed information that ensures the strategy and implementation
plan is engaging and supported by evidence.
You will need to:

1. Complete the blog and content marketing strategy template and

implementation plan called Assessment Task 2 Project Template which you
can download from the Google Classroom. You must complete all sections
of the template by including as much detail as possible to demonstrate
evidence of your ability to meet the requirements of the unit. (65 marks)
