GOCare 1.7.6 Requirements

1) Introduction
There are certain system requirements that are necessary to install GOCare.

This is purely a shortened user friendly version of the system requirements. This cannot be used
as your sole resource to setup hardware and software for GOCare.
Please discuss with GOCare team for latest detail.

2) Architecture
GOCare is a COM application that based on 2-tier architecture. It supports Citrix environment
setup.

GOCare system mainly consists of:

 Database Server (SQL Server)

GOCare needs a SQL 2000 DB server but it does not need dedicated server, it can share
server, which is used for any other applications..

 Application Server
It can be either a separate server or same database server.
The Servers require Windows 2000 server OS with sp3 or Windows 2003 with sp1.

 Client PC
The client require one windows based operating system(windows 2000 professional or
XP) and certain pre-requisites as follows

Minimal 3rd party requirements

Crystal report 9 runtime support
Infragistic components runtime support

No license required for 3rd party tools.

2) System requirements for Installing GOCare 1.8

2.1) Server requirements (Application and database)
Operating System Microsoft Windows® 2003 Server sp1 or
Windows 2000 Server sp 4
CPU 2 x P4 2.0 GHz Xeon or equivalent other CPU
RAM Minimum: 1 Gigabyte (GB)
Recommended: 2 GB or above
Database tool SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition
 SP3 (build 8.00.760) or above
 Security – Mixed mode (Windows and SQL)
 Number of Concurrent users – 25
 Number of Concurrent Transact-SQL batches executes - 5
GOCare database created with user gocare18_user and password
takecare18. This user is the dB owner.
Server sharing User can share this server for other application installation.

Operating System Microsoft Windows® 2003 Server sp1 or

Windows XP sp2 or
Windows 2000 with Service pack 4 or above
RAM Minimum: 512 megabytes (MB)
Recommended: 1 GB MB or above
Hard disk 20 GB Capacity
2 GB of available free space required on system drive
Display Minimum 1024 x 768 High Color — 16-bit or above
Network Bandwidth 10/100 Mbps
PC sharing User can share this PC for other application installation.
Other software’s Microsoft office 2000 or above, Adobe acrobat reader 4.2 or above

3. Citrix setup
3.1 Server (Application + Database + Citrix Metaframe)
Operating System Microsoft Windows® 2003 Server sp1 or
Windows 2000 Server sp4
CPU 2 x P4 2.0 GHz Xeon or equivalent other CPU
RAM Minimum: 2 Gigabytes (GB)
Recommended: 3 GB or above
Hard disk 40 GB Capacity
250 MB of available free space required on system drive
Network Server setup should allows to create share folder
Database tool SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition
 SP3 (build 8.00.760) or above
 Security – Mixed mode (Windows and SQL)
 Number of Concurrent users – 25
 Number of Concurrent Transact-SQL batches executes - 5
GOCare database created with user gocare18_user and password

3.2 Citrix Client requirements

Display Minimum 1024 x 768 High Color — 16-bit or above
Network Bandwidth 10/100 Mbps
PC sharing User can share this PC for other application installation.
Other software’s Microsoft office 2000 or above, Adobe acrobat reader 4.2 or above
