2) Click on “Fall 2018 Required Steps to Enrollment” and follow step-by-
step instructions to complete enrollment

Pay SEVIS I-901 fee and obtain your F-1 visa if needed (see I-20
cover for details)

Always make copies of your passport, visa & I-20 (hard and
electronic copy)

Unfortunately, you are not allowed late entry

• QuantiFERON TB test is highly recommended
• Also offered on campus (appointment required)

You can only enter the U.S. up to 30 days before your


program start date on your I-20:

What happens at the port of entry?
At the port of entry in the U.S., prepare these documents to show
to the Customs and Border Protection Officer:
• I-20 Form
• Acceptance letter
• Evidence of financial support
• Passport valid for at least 6 months
• Valid F-1 visa (except Canadian citizens)
*Keep these documents in your carry-on bag for immediate access.

• There is no pickup service from the school, but it is easy to find
transportation from LAX to Long Beach.
• Prepare $30-$80 to pay for a shared ride or airport shuttle
