1.0 PREPARATION

1.1 Basic Data for Flowsheet Draughting shall be prepared by the Project
Co-ordinating Engineer, or Process Co-ordinating Engineer if there is no
Project Engineer, at the start of the project.

This information shall be used in setting up all Process type Flow

Diagrams and Engineering Flow Diagrams for the project and shall be
discussed with the Flowsheet Supervisor prior to the start of flowsheet
draughting.

1.2 This Engineering Standard does not replace ENG.STD. 50F2 (Reading)
which shall be used at all times for job specification development unless
client's standards overrule.

1.3 All sections of this Engineering Standard shall be filled in. If a section is
not applicable, enter N.A. in the appropriate remarks section. If data is
applicable but not available at the time of issue, enter LATER in the
appropriate section.

1.4 Section 12 SPECIAL PROJECT REQUIREMENTS, shall be used to clarify

unusual aspects of the project. It shall also be used whenever space in
the relevant remarks section is inadequate, in which case the remarks
section shall cross refer to section 12.
