Satyaki is disciple of Arjuna and ardent devotee of Krishna, He loved Pandavas  Ask New Question
more than his life as teacher Arjuna terms Satyaki as his equal citing the
extended valour he exhibited ,even though Satyaki falls in class of Ati Rathi
(Athirathi : ,Kritha varma,Dhṛiṣhṭadhyumna, Shalya, Duḥśāsana, Kripa and
Pradyumna fall in this class of warriors ) .On hearing the news of Laksha Graha it
was Satyaki who did the “last rites” for Pandavas. When Abhimanyu was
murdered then too he did the last rites for him, indicates his bonding for
Pandavas.

The fourteenth day of the war can be dedicated to this mighty warrior where
Satyaki did a prominent role fighting Drona nullifying his nefarious design of
holding Yudhisthira as prisoner . Satyaki not only preempt Drona but also
turned invincible for mighty and crooked Drona who at one point says “This
fellow fits to be the perfect disciple of Partha “, It is waste of time fighting with
this one !!

Drona got so frustrated that he used many divine weapons on which Satyaki
cancels well using his knowledge of divine weapons taught by Arjuna . Once
Drona got wounded and helpless with lack of progress, Drona shifted focus to
Arjuna.

Satyaki’s fondest companions Durodhana and Krithvarma (C I C Athirathi of

Narayani Sena) fought on the opposite side while Satyaki did his best for the
Pandavas as his rightful duty .On understanding war was inevitable Satyaki took
the Shivi Akshauhini to Pandava side.

With his invincibility of the 14th day , Respecting his bravery ,Krishna gave His
divine chariot for Satyaki when his chariot was broken to fight rest of day’s war
against Durodhana, Karna and Drona combined . Bhagwan Veda Vyasa wrote it
thus ,“ There was no one in the Kaurava army who escaped Satyaki’s arrow on
that day “(14th day ) .

It could be seen he is often juxtaposed with Krithavarma as both survived to live

another 36 years and finally Satyaki brings to end of Krithavarma for heinous
killing of Abhimanyu.

Further understanding : Sushrutha and Charaka Samhita says he was also

expert (Physician) in Ayurveda as eyes and throat specialist.How ever that has to
be read out with further references .Will post some Sanskrit passage if come
across .!

Sathyaki was the grandson of Sini (a yadava), and the enemy of Bhurishravas, he
had another enmity with a fellow Yadava warrior known as Kritavarman.

Sathyaki was also a student of Arjuna, he was stated to be equal to him the
practice of arms/weapons.

Sathyaki is the man that defeated Karna many times.

Satyaki trained Abhimanyu in Dwaraka, (another warrior who defeated karna).

Satyaki also defeated a ansh of Shiva - Drona’s son (Ashwathama).

Satyaki even defeated Bhisma infact.

Bhisma as a great warrior should have been able to protect charioteer (driver)
but could not, and thus he was forced to flee the battlefield. Fleeing is a defeat.
