I am Anurag Khandelwal, senior undergraduate from Chemical Engineering Department, IIT Bombay.
I would like to thank you for considering my application to the post of Business Analyst at Monitor
Group worthy of your time.

Having consistently excelled academically, I have pursued internships at premier institutions namely
IIM – Ahmedabad and TATA Consultancy Services. I believe these diverse experiences have now
equipped me with the necessary skills that can not only assi st me in learning and adapting quickly to
your work environment, but also effectively communicate and transfer my expertise to add value to
on-going projects at Monitor.

During my stay at IIT Bombay, I have always tried to best use the opportunities available. I worked as
an intern in an education based young enterprise, Mexus Education Private Ltd., and created
futuristic innovative education model based on affordable technology and engaging content. At the
end I was able to co-author a touch-read book, Noisy Numbers, which has been well received in the
market.

My continuous passion for challenges and problem solving is a key reason for my excitement at the
opportunity of a career in management consulting. My roles as Institute Internship Coordinator and
Placement Company Coordinator in the institute level teams required me to tackle and improve
upon impending issues of insufficient internships/placements of students. It required me to use my
analytical abilities to provide insights and recommend solutions, which has been one of the most
gratifying experiences.

I consider myself as very passionate about whatever I do and I strive to deliver results to the best of
my capabilities. During my internship at TCS, I initiated the incorporation of regeneration technology
in one of the company’s products which lead towards increase in its efficiency. At IIM A, I analysed
the Rate circulars issued by Indian Railways in past 10 years and presented a working paper based on
my analysis. As an Internship Coordinator, I with my team managed to achieve 40% y-o-y increase in
number of internships for chemical engineering department.

As a strategy consultant, I look forward to develop acute market analysis skills involving
understanding the industry, the customers, making informed judgements about their problems and
providing recommendations to add value to client business.
