To our esteemed guests, administration, teachers, staff members, proud parents and my

fellow students, a very good morning to all.

Welcome to this momentous event. We have all gathered here today as we celebrate
another milestone in each of our lives. All those sleepless nights of pain, hardships, and
cramming have all come to bear fruit as we accept recognition for the efforts we exerted over the
past two-hundred days. There were times where we started to doubt the possibility of surviving
this treacherous year, but now as we stand on this stage, let us all push that doubt aside, because
as long as we are still breathing, nothing can stand in our way.
This year we grew not only as students, but also as persons in our society. We’ve come
so far from the naive first years who gawked at the gates. We’ve become strong, independent
men and women, fit and ready to take on the challenges that await us in the future.
This year marks a checkpoint in each of our lives. This year, we will be undergoing what
perhaps is one of defining factors of the path we will take in the coming years. But as we review
and prepare for it, let us remember that our enemies are not the booklets or the answer sheets, but
the lack of faith in ourselves. I know that most of us are still unsure, still doubting ourselves, But,
batch 2020, I know for a fact that we can do it. Together.
This ceremony hallmarks the beginning of another chapter in our lives. May this day
encourage us to strive harder, push further, and be better individuals. As Langston Hughes once
said “Life ain’t no crystal stair”, nevertheless, we must keep walking with our chins up, not only
for our friends, our family, or for ourselves, but also for the world.
Congratulations again batchmates! God bless.
