Let's prove that 0.333333..... is the same as 1/3

Let N = .3333333333...

Then, if we multiply both sides by 10 we have:

10N = 10(.3333333333...)
So, 10N = 3.3333333333...
Since N = .3333333333...., we can rewrite this:
10N = 3 + N
Now, we solve the equation for N.
10N = 3 + N
-N -N
9N = 3

N=3=1

So, N = .33333.... = 1/3
