DAILY LESSON PLAN
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional
lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing
I. OBJECTIVES objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance a nd jo y inlearning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the
curriculum guides.
The learners demonstrates understanding of the key concepts of geometry of shapes and sizes and geometric relationships.
A. Content Standards
The learners should be able to create models of plane figures and formulate and solve accurately authentic problems involving sides and angles of a polygon.
B. Performance Standards
Define a polygon.
Illustrates the different parts of a polygon.
C. Learning Competencies / Objectives State the different classifications of a polygon.
Determine the sum of the measures of the interior and exterior angles of a convex polygon.
Polygons
II. CONTENT
List the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and

These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the tudents
which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning,
question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each

A. Reviewing previous lesson or Review students about parts of a polygon namely the vertices, sides, interior and following polygons:
presenting the new lesson exterior angles and diagonal at a given fixed point.
Our lesson today aims to: a. state the different classifications of polygon; b. Complete the following statements:
determine the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a convex polygon. 1.A polygon is_________________________.
2.A triangle has___ sides,_____ angles and ____
vertices.
C. Presenting examples/ instances of
3.A square has___ sides,_____ angles and ____
the new lesson (Elicit) vertices.
4.A rectangle has___ sides,_____ angles and ____
vertices.
1.What is a polygon?
F. Developing mastery (Leads to 2.Illustrates a polygon.
Formative Assessment 3) (Explain) 3.What are the different kinds of a polygon?
4.How do you determine the sum of the measures of any polygons?
Look around and find the figures that considered polygon.
G. Finding practical applications of How do you apply polygons in your real life situation?
concepts and skills in daily living
(Elaborate)
*A polygon is a union of non collinear segments, sides, on a plane that meet at their
end points, the vertices, so that each end point(vertex) is contained by exactly two
segments(sides).
H. Making generalizations and *A polygon is equilateral if all its sides are equal; equiangular if all its angles are
abstractions about the lesson equal; and regular if it is both equilateral and equiangular.
A polygon with n sides has n number of vertices and n number of interior angles.
*The sum of the interior angles of a polygon with n sides is 180(n-2.)
V. REMARKS
Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students learn?
VI. REFLECTION Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant questions.
