Target sighting

2.3.1 Target sighting by Manualfocus


1. Loosen the telescope clamp and horizontal clampscrews.

2. Point the telescope at the target using acollimator.

3. Tighten the above twoscrews.

4. Adjust theeyepiece.

5. Look through the telescope and then rotate the Focus ring and stop it where the targetcan

be clearly seen and the target image does not move in relation to reticle even if your eyeis

vertically and horizontallymoved.

6. Align the reticle accurately on the target using telescope and horizontal tangentscrews.

Note - The Focus ring rotation “clockwise” makes it possible to focus on closer
objectsand “counter clockwise” will focus on furtherobjects.

2.4 Attachment and detachment of tribrach

The tribrach of LTS-202N and LTS-205N can be detached from the instrument, ifrequired

when replacing the instrument with a prism forexample.

Detachment
 First loosen the recessed screw with a screwdriver, then rotate the locking knob

untilthe arrow points upward, and lift the instrumentup.

Attachment
 Mount the instrument on the tribrach with the guide marks coinciding, and rotate

thelocking knob until the arrow pointsdownwards.

 The guide and guide mark must be fitted to attach theinstrument.

 When the tribrach does not need to be attached or detached, or the instrument is tobe

transported, tighten the recessed screw with a screwdriver to fix the lockingknob.
