Position, Direction, and Speed - Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
Position, Direction, and Speed - Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
The __distance_ (length) from the reference point changes when the object
moves.
The __point of reference__ is a stationary point in where the motion is
measured. It usually does not move.
7. An unbalanced force is one that does not have another force of _equal_
magnitude (size) and opposite direction off-setting it.
8. __Rate of motion__ is the speed of the object or how fast or slow the
object is moving.
1. Objects at rest stay at rest and objects at motion stay in motion unless
an _outside_ _force_ acts upon it.
If an unbalanced force acts on an object at rest the object will move in the
direction of the force.
3. All forces occur in _pairs_, and these two forces are _equal_ in strength
and _opposite_ in direction.
Everyone knows that heavier objects require more force to move the
same distance as lighter objects.
3. For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action. This means-
